Wart Assessment & Removal
Assessment first, then the right treatment
Concerned about a stubborn wart on the hands, feet or another area of the skin?
Warts are assessed before any treatment is planned, because not every raised lesion is a wart and the right approach depends on its type and location. Where treatment at Dermalaser is appropriate we explain the options; where it is not, we refer you to a doctor or dermatologist.
At Dermalaser Beauty Lounge in Paralimni, treatment may be considered for selected warts following assessment. Warts are caused by viral infection and may vary in size, depth, location and response to previous treatments.
Treatment suitability depends on the type of wart, the area involved, your medical history and whether the lesion has been correctly identified. A medical assessment is recommended for uncertain, changing or painful lesions.
Some warts require more than one session and recurrence is possible. Temporary discomfort, redness, crusting or tenderness may occur after treatment.
- Diagnosis confirmed before treatment
- Approach matched to the lesion
- Referral where that is the better option
- Clear expectations from the start
Common questions
Do you use laser to remove warts?
Wart removal should not automatically be described as a laser service. The lesion first needs to be assessed so we can determine whether Dermalaser can offer an appropriate treatment or whether referral to a doctor or dermatologist is the better option.
Why does a wart need to be assessed first?
Not every raised skin lesion is a wart, and the most suitable treatment depends on its type and location. Anything atypical, facial, genital, changing or uncertain should be medically assessed.
How many treatments are needed?
This depends entirely on the confirmed diagnosis and the treatment method selected. We will not recommend a course until we know that the lesion is appropriate for treatment at Dermalaser.
