At Dermalaser Beauty Lounge in Paralimni, we use the DEKA TORO—a medical Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser system—to break down unwanted permanent makeup pigment in the brows, lips and liner area, so that it can be cleared gradually by the body.
Cosmetic pigments are not tattoo inks. They are mixed to sit close to skin tones and can contain compounds that react unpredictably to laser energy, including darkening on first exposure. This is why a small patch test is carried out at your first visit and assessed before any full treatment is planned.
Lightening is deliberately gradual and controlled, across a series of sessions spaced to let the skin settle in between. Results vary with the pigment used, how deeply it was placed and how long it has been in the skin, and complete removal cannot always be guaranteed. Sun avoidance and proper aftercare are essential throughout.

Common questions
Is permanent makeup removed the same way as a tattoo?
The mechanism is the same — laser energy fragments the pigment so the body can clear it — but cosmetic pigments behave differently from tattoo ink. They sit more superficially, in more delicate areas, and their exact composition is often unknown, so the approach is more cautious.
Why do you patch test first?
Some cosmetic pigments darken rather than lighten when they first meet laser energy. A small test area shows us how your pigment reacts before anything is treated in full, and we assess that result before planning a course.
How many sessions will I need?
Almost always a series, with healing time between each one. We can give a more realistic estimate after seeing the area in person, but the total number cannot be promised in advance and complete removal is not guaranteed.
What does permanent makeup removal cost?
Eyebrows €80 and lips €120. The final plan and price are confirmed at your consultation, once we have seen the area and the result of your patch test.
